Dr. McGovern is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She is also a fellow of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She was awarded a patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office for her unique dermal filler technique.

Dr. McGovern was born in Louisiana, grew up in Virginia, and has practiced medicine in Savannah, GA, since 2002. She is a 1996 graduate of the University of Virginia School of Medicine and has hospital privileges at Memorial Health University Hospital, Candler Hospital, and St. Joseph’s Hospital.
