“Dr. McGovern really listened to what was going on with my nose rather than trying to follow surgery trends. She explained everything in a way that I could understand. I’m anticipating a long time before swelling is completely gone, but I already am happy with my results I’ve experienced so far. I spoke with a looooot of different doctors before making this decision. I recommend Dr. McGovern to everyone.”

Rhinoplasty: Bringing Balance to Your Face
Though our appearance comes from the balance of many features, the nose can do a lot to make everything else look right, or not. When your face looks out of balance, it might be that rhinoplasty might be in order.
Rhinoplasty is performed to change the appearance of the nose to be more aesthetic and pleasing. Our minimally invasive procedure offers minimal discomfort, reduced recovery time, and less bruising. We can improve your appearance and breathing with natural-looking results.
What Can Rhinoplasty Do for You?
There are various reasons why patients seek out rhinoplasty, which continues to rank as one of the most popular facial plastic surgery procedures in the country. Some of the main uses for rhinoplasty include the treatment of:
- An overly large nose
- A nose that is too small
- Large bumps/humps on the nose
- A drooping tip
- Crooked bridge
- Nasal injury
- Nasal obstruction
Procedure Overview & Recovery Time
Your surgery will be performed under general anesthesia. A small incision will be made within the nostril to minimize visibility of future scarring. Once the underlying structure of your nose is revealed, your plastic surgeon can reshape the cartilage, bone and tissue to the size and profile that you desire.
Sometimes the hump is removed, and typically the nose is thinned out at the tip and slightly elevated. It is usually necessary to narrow the nose at the time of surgery. A splint and packing are removed by the fifth day, and most people are presentable in approximately one week to 10 days. If you have difficulty breathing, your insurance may pay for a portion of the rhinoplasty procedure.
