Let’s Turn Some Heads

A nip here, a tuck there. Whatever your fancy, we can transform your body into the thing of your dreams. Dr. Meghan McGovern will help you find the ideal path to the most beautiful you. All you have to do is take the first step. We’ll be with you the rest of the way.

Arm Lift

If you have unsightly sagging skin on the upper arms because of aging, genetics, or weight loss, then you may be a candidate for upper arm lift surgery. Also called brachioplasty, it is intended to reduce or eliminate excess skin from the upper arms.

An arm lift is usually done under general anesthesia. In order to remove the unwanted skin, an incision is required that runs from near the elbow into the armpit. The incision is placed in the most inconspicuous location (inner arm, toward the back), but some scarring will always be visible.

Body Lift

The obese patient who loses a significant amount of weight will usually experience partial or complete resolution of a host of medical problems, such as diabetes and hypertension. Unfortunately, the skin usually fails to contract enough to live up to their cosmetic goals and expectations. The abdomen, flanks, thighs, arms, breasts, and neck are common areas of complaint and surgical improvements are almost always possible.

Brazilian Butt Lift

The Brazilian Butt Lift, also known as a butt augmentation, is an increasingly common procedure. Through liposuction, fat is transferred from the donor area, such as the tummy or lower back, and it is then used to augment the buttocks. It’s a more natural technique – just moving fat from one spot to another.

The end result is a fuller butt, as well as the benefit of liposuction and contouring in the donor areas. How much fat is removed from the donor areas varies, depending on how much fatty tissue you have that you can donate. There is also a limit to how much fat than can be removed in each procedure.

Laser Body Contouring

Emsculpt NEO and SculpSure are non-surgical body contouring technologies that can safely target and destroy fat cells in just 30 minutes or less without affecting the skin’s surface. There is no recovery time following treatment, so you can resume your daily activities immediately. Most patients need multiple treatments to achieve optimal results.

Liposuction

Liposuction is a cosmetic procedure that removes fat that you can’t seem to get rid of through diet and exercise.

Liposuction is not a substitute for diet, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle. After a patient has achieved his/her desirable body weight, there may be areas of fatty tissue that just will not go away. The fat deposits that are ideally treated with liposuction should be discreet, well-defined areas that are out of proportion to the rest of the patient’s fat layer.

Mommy Makeover

The term “mommy makeover” has become synonymous with the surgical management of bodily changes adult women experience as a direct result of pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight gain or loss, age, and menopause. Fortunately, Dr. Meghan McGovern is an expert in helping women reclaim their bodies from earlier days.

For some women, the skin on the abdomen may stretch beyond its ability to bounce back, resulting in droopy, sagging skin and undesirable contour irregularities. Some women may lose the shape and volume of their breasts. Others may complain of pockets of fat in the abdomen, hips, and flanks that are resistant to diet and exercise. The key to a successful mommy makeover is for you to first establish your priorities and decide which areas of her body you want to modify.

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)

Abdominoplasty, which is more commonly called a tummy tuck, refers to the surgical contouring of the mid-section of the body. A patient may decide to have a tummy tuck for a variety of reasons.

One common reason for women is that they may have a persistent bulge in the lower abdominal area that is caused by the relaxation of the lower abdominal muscles following either pregnancy or cesarean section. Another reason is that there is a persistent area of fullness following significant weight loss.
