The Consultation
Your skincare provider will assess your skin and recommend the right peel depth — from gentle glycolic to deeper TCA peels.
The Treatment
A chemical solution is applied to the skin, causing controlled exfoliation. Light peels take 30 minutes. Deeper peels may require prep and numbing.
After Treatment
Light peels: mild redness for 1-2 days. Medium peels: peeling for 3-5 days. Deep peels: up to 7 days of healing. Fresh, glowing skin emerges.

Plan Your Downtime
Deeper peels (phenol and TCA) cause redness and blistering of the treated areas. Ointment is the centerpiece of your aftercare.
Ointment, gentle washing, and oozing
Deeper peels cause redness and blistering. If drainage occurs, it usually lasts for 2 or 3 days only. Sleep on your back with your head and feet elevated.
Do this
- Coat the treated areas with a light covering of Aquaphor or Vaseline two or three times daily. It's a soothing astringent that reduces discomfort and helps prevent crusts.
- Wash your hands before touching your face, and again after.
- Wash the peeled areas with a mild cleanser, water, and your fingertips as desired. Pat dry, then reapply the ointment very lightly.
- Pat any drainage with gauze sponges and wash as needed.
- Drink plenty of fluids to maintain hydration.
- Get up and walk four or five times a day.
Avoid
- Do not sleep on your face at all.
- Avoid scratching or picking the treated areas — that may cause infection or scarring.
- Do not smoke.
- Do not sit with knees bent and feet on the floor.
- Avoid long automobile trips or flights.
