Breast Lift in Statesboro, GA
Consultations and follow-up visits at our Statesboro office on Merchant Way, with surgery at RenewalASC, our accredited surgery center in Savannah.
Breast Lift for Statesboro Patients
Pregnancy, nursing, weight changes, and the years themselves all leave their mark on the breasts. Often the size is fine; what has changed is where the breast sits and how it holds its shape. A breast lift, or mastopexy, raises and reshapes the breast and repositions the nipple, so it sits higher and firmer, without necessarily changing your cup size.
For women in Statesboro and the surrounding counties, your consultation and follow-up visits take place at our office on Merchant Way. Dr. Meghan McGovern will measure, examine your skin and breast tissue, and talk through whether a lift alone will give you what you want, or whether adding an implant for upper fullness makes sense. The surgery is performed at RenewalASC, our accredited ambulatory surgery center in Savannah, under general anesthesia, and takes 2 to 3 hours.
A breast lift at RenewalMD typically costs $7,000 to $9,000. Most patients return to desk work in 1 to 2 weeks and reach full recovery at 4 to 6 weeks. Final results settle in over about a year. Individual results vary.

Is Breast Lift Right for You?
Answer a few quick questions to see if breast lift could be a good fit for you — or take the full Renewal Assessment for a comprehensive treatment plan.
What to Expect
A breast lift — or mastopexy — reshapes and raises breasts that have begun to sag, restoring a contour that sits higher and firmer, so that looking in the mirror feels familiar again.
Ideal Candidates
For women whose breasts have changed shape and position from aging, gravity, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight changes, and who want that shape and position restored.
The Consultation
Dr. McGovern will assess your degree of ptosis and talk with you about whether a lift alone, or a lift combined with implants, will best achieve your goals.
The Procedure
Performed at RenewalASC under general anesthesia, over 2-3 hours. We remove excess skin, reshape the breast tissue, and reposition the nipple-areola complex.
Recovery
Most patients return to desk work in 1-2 weeks. A surgical support bra is worn for 4-6 weeks. Full recovery at 4-6 weeks.
Artistry Meets Precision
Dr. McGovern knows that sagging breasts touch more than what you see in the mirror — they shape how clothes sit on you, and how you carry yourself through the day. Her approach aims for a lifted, natural shape that suits your particular body.
She uses advanced techniques that work to limit scarring while supporting the lift and how long it lasts. Every breast lift is planned around your own anatomy, not a standard template.
Plan Your Downtime
Water does not hurt healing incisions. The bra acts as your dressing — it does most of the work of holding everything in position.
Dressings and bleeding control
Gauze pads or fluffs cover the incision lines. Some oozing of blood at the incisions is normal. Small amounts of oozing and bleeding are very common.
Do this
- Reinforce the incision areas with gauze or absorbent pads if necessary.
- If oozing is more than slow staining of the gauze, apply firm pressure for 20–30 minutes before calling the office.
- Wear TED hose at all times except to shower.
- Drink plenty of fluids to maintain hydration.
- Get up and walk four or five times a day.
- Always lie with your feet elevated above the level of your heart.
- Always have your legs elevated if sitting in a chair.
Avoid
- Do not wear an underwire bra.
- No driving for 24 hours after taking a narcotic.
- Do not sit in a chair with knees bent and feet on the floor.
- Do not smoke or use any form of nicotine.
- Avoid long automobile trips or flights.
Can I do this yet? Day 1
Get up and walk four or five times a day.
Water does not hurt healing incisions. You may shower after 24–48 hours. Leave steri-strips in place but wet them twice daily.
When driving does not cause pain — usually 4–6 days with power steering. Never within 24 hours of a narcotic.
Cleared day 4Wear the stockings for 7 days, always except to shower.
Cleared week 1Do not return to aerobic exercise for 3 weeks.
Cleared week 3Wear the bra for at least 3 weeks. After that, if healing well, you may sleep without it.
Cleared week 3You should not go braless during the day for 6 weeks after surgery.
Cleared week 6Avoid long automobile trips or flights.

Why Statesboro Patients Choose RenewalMD
Consultations and follow-ups stay local
Your consultation, pre-operative visit, and post-operative checks take place in Statesboro. Only surgery day brings you to RenewalASC in Savannah, and you go home the same day.
Lift alone, or lift with an implant
A lift changes shape and position, not volume. If you miss fullness in the upper breast, Dr. McGovern can combine the lift with an implant. She will tell you plainly which your goals need.
Planned around your anatomy
Incision pattern depends on how much lift you need. Scars are placed around the areola and in natural creases, and they fade considerably over 6 to 12 months.
One surgeon, start to finish
The surgeon who measures you at consultation is the surgeon who performs your operation. Your care is never handed to a rotating staff surgeon.
Dr. Meghan McGovern, board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, performs every breast lift herself, and she sees Statesboro consultations and follow-ups at the Merchant Way office.

Statesboro Questions
How much does a breast lift cost in Statesboro?
A breast lift at RenewalMD typically costs $7,000 to $9,000. If you and Dr. McGovern decide to add implants, the cost of that combination is discussed at your consultation. We accept Cherry, PatientFi, and CareCredit financing, and Cherry offers 0% interest plans of 3, 6, 9, or 12 months, subject to credit approval.
Do I have to drive to Savannah for breast lift surgery?
Only for the surgery itself. Your consultation, pre-op visit, and post-op checks can be done at our Statesboro office on Merchant Way. The surgery is performed at RenewalASC in Savannah under general anesthesia and takes 2 to 3 hours.
Will a breast lift change my cup size?
A lift changes shape and position, not volume, and some women feel their breasts look slightly smaller afterward because the shape is more compact. If you want more fullness, a lift can be combined with implants.
How long is recovery?
Most patients return to desk work in 1 to 2 weeks and reach full recovery at 4 to 6 weeks. If your work is physical, plan for the longer end of that range. Dr. McGovern gives you a written activity timeline at your pre-op visit.
Should I wait until I am done having children?
Pregnancy and nursing can change the breasts again, so many women wait until their family is complete. Breastfeeding after a lift is possible in most cases. Bring your family plans to your consultation so they shape the surgical plan.
